Welcome to Illuminated By U!
Before we kick off in full force January 2017, we wanted to take a few moments and tell you a little bit more about how the idea of Illuminated By U was cultivated, what Illuminated By U will offer, and the goals for our community here.
Illuminated By U was created by two best friends, Catherine and Joanne, as a way to raise mental health awareness and reduce stigma. The idea for a weekly podcast and website came to Catherine one afternoon, who immediately called Joanne, and so the idea of Illuminated By U was brought to life.
Along with weekly podcasts, taking places each Friday, we will also be offering you:
-Mindfulness Mondays: each Monday we will introduce a meditation technique or yoga pose meant to calm the mind/body and its benefits.
-Monthly book recommendation and review
-Weekly blog posts with references and additional information to compliment that week’s podcast.
-Invited guest hosts and bloggers
-Monthly personal development activities
Although we will not be producing podcasts until January of 2017, we will be filling our website with plenty of blogs between now and then as well as beginning our Mindfulness Mondays next Monday.
